Cake Trio Trend Gives Brides More Flavor, Décor Options

Along with the dress and the venue, choosing the perfect cake and how it will be displayed is one of the top items on your wedding to-do list. But, it is difficult to make your delicious piece of décor stand out from the crowd. Not to mention it is challenging to find a cake flavor that suits everyone’s taste buds.

Why not follow one of the hottest wedding trends of the year and go with more than one cake? Cake trios have become a popular choice for many brides who are looking to create a more dramatic cake table and give their guests more dessert choices.

Local couple, Julie and Brian, flanked their ombre-decorated cake with two sets of cake trios—each with its own unique texture and flavor. The cakes were placed under greenery and lighting to showcase them even more.

Another bride and groom not only employed the cake trio wedding trend, but they also incorporated other trends onto their cake table like offering guests a bare, frostless cake and a full dessert bar including pies, cookies and chocolate covered strawberries.

Central Texas Engagements also got in on the cake trio trend in a recent styled shoot at the Carleen Bright Arboretum. Wedding Cakes by Esther Allen created the three-tiered confections that also included some other emerging trends like calligraphy, ombre design and the use of greenery.

So, if you’re having a hard time picking the right look and flavor for your wedding cake, then make the decision easier by adding more cakes to the mix.
