Julie + Brian

Julie and Brian first met on spring break while they were both attending Baylor University. The two became friends during the vacation and continued spending time together when they returned to campus. One night a group of their friends decided to explore the “Baylor tunnels,” which are 12-foot tunnels that run under Baylor’s campus. During their harrowing adventure, Julie grabbed Brian’s hand for safety, and there was an instant spark. Brian asked Julie out the next day and the two have been together ever since.

When Brian decided to propose, he knew he wanted to do it in a big way. He told Julie the two were going to a friend’s “engagement” party, but he needed to stop by and check out a piece of land his parents were thinking about buying on the way. The land overlooked the lake and was picture perfect. Before Julie knew it, Brian was down on one knee asking her to be his wife.

After the proposal, Brian took Julie to the engagement party that was actually for them. He had planned the whole event, including flying in relatives, arranging for caterers and providing limos to shuttle people to the location.

Because their engagement party was an elegant affair, they wanted their wedding to be just as fabulous. The two went with an “industrial garden” theme that included a lot of Edison bulbs and greenery. They had a personalized laser-cut wood sign that included their wedding hashtag, and even had signature drinks for cocktail hour.

After a meal of chicken and beef skewers, grilled vegetables, mac and cheese and stuffed avocados, the guests danced the night away. When all was said and done the couple jetted off to the U.S. Virgin Islands for their honeymoon.
