Gabriella + Jack

When Gabriella and Jack met in high school, they never thought they would be getting married almost a decade later. While they remained friends after graduation, the two went to separate universities and only saw each other when they were on Christmas and summer breaks. After four years, and countless conversations on social media, Jack decided to take their relationship to the next level and pay a visit to Gabriella at Baylor University, where she was attending college. The couple says the rest is history because they’ve been inseparable ever since.

After 28 months, Jack decided it was time to “put a ring on it.” Jack invited Gabriella and her family to Easter dinner at a new restaurant. When they arrived, Gabriella realized that there were a lot more people there to celebrate the holiday than she had expected. As she sat discussing the ins and outs of Frozen with Jack’s niece, Gabriella realized that Jack was beginning a speech about his love for her to the whole restaurant. And even though she had just taken a bite of her salad, she managed to say “yes,” and the entire eatery burst into applause.

The couple tied the knot on December 31 of 2016 in a traditional Catholic Mass ceremony, that was followed by a Great Gatsby-esque reception that included lots of black and gold and pops of plum. And because it was New Year’s Eve, Jack and Gabriella showered their guests with a balloon drop as the clock struck midnight.

When the two were finished celebrating with family and friends, they left for their honeymoon in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.
