Makensie and Bryon met while still in high school, and instantly became inseparable. It wasn’t long before the future groom had not only won Makensie’s heart, but the hearts of her family and friends as well. As the two planned their future after high school, they decided to go to the same university and continue to date.
Years later, Bryon woke Makensie up at 8 a.m. on a Saturday morning with a plate full of pancakes and a plan to go hiking for the day. Because Makensie loved Bryon’s sense of adventure, she agreed to the hike that took them into Cameron Park. When the couple reached a cliff overlooking the Brazos, Bryon got down on one knee and asked Makensie to be his wife.
The two celebrated their love with a summer wedding with a boho romantic theme. Makensie walked down an aisle covered in rose petals and candles past guests who sat on vintage church pews. The reception included antique gold candle sticks and tables adorned with greenery and floral centerpieces.
After a night of romance, the couple sailed off on their honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean.
