Revyn Marburger, owner of Ivory Bell Floral, first became enamored with flowers when her high school FFA horticultural team studied at a local flower shop in Temple, TX.

“They really made it fun for us, and I was like, I just want to live here,” Marburger said. “I came home and told my parents, hey, I think I felt something. They were like, okay, go for it. Go intern somewhere and see what happens.”

Within a few weeks, the high school freshman was interning for a florist who was in the throes of the Valentine’s Day rush.

“That’s when I realized, this is probably what I want to do because I didn’t mind doing the grunt work,” she said. “I still loved being in a floral shop and doing those things.”

With the support of her parents, Marburger soon launched her floral business, she named Ivory Bell Floral, which is a nod to her cattle-raising family heritage.

“My middle name is Ivory, which comes from my great-great grandmother. Her family owned cattle and their cattle brand was in the shape of a bell,” she said. “When I was dreaming of my business, my parents were like, why not use that name and use the cattle brand as your logo.”

Marburger continued to grow her business throughout high school and her college years at Texas A&M where she majored in horticultural. She focused mainly on weddings during that time so she could still participate in college life. But when she returned home after she graduated in May of 2019, she hit the ground running with her business.

“I do floral designs for everything from weddings to events to funerals to everyday florals,” she said. “I also do a bouquet subscription that provides a fresh bouquet and an essential oil blend at the beginning of every month.”

She can also provide brides and grooms with planning and coordinating services for their big day. And while the floral designer loves to help couples create the picture-perfect visions they have in their minds; she also loves when brides give her the chance to think outside the box.

“Some of my favorite weddings in the past have been people who have said, these are the things I want you to design, this is my color palette, now go for it,” she said. “I love having the freedom to pull different types of florals.”
