Indoor Weddings: Bring the Outdoors In

Indoor wedding venues can be a great choice for brides who don’t want to contend with the weather or unpredictable temperatures. One of the best reasons to choose an indoor space is that a little decorating can go a long way.

If you do choose an indoor space, it can be difficult to know where to start when creating a look for your wedding. Here are some of the latest trends in indoor wedding venue decorating that might help you decide how to make your mark on a wedding space.

Rectangle Tables

As weddings become less about getting all of the details right and more about celebrating the couple who is getting married, décor has also become less about the fuss and more about the togetherness. Some couples are so into bringing their family and friends together, that they are opting for long, rectangular tables where their guests can eat, talk, and get to know each other.

The Reemergence of the Head Table

No one wants to have to search the room for the best man or the maid-of-honor when it’s time to give speeches. With the reemergence of the “head table,” brides and grooms can keep their wedding party at arms-length and get the chance to spend even more time together before they head off into the sunset.

Bringing the Outdoors Inside

Just because you chose an indoor wedding space doesn’t mean you can’t have a taste of the outdoors. Many brides are using greenery like vines, branches, and other natural elements to give the illusion of being in an enchanted wood.

Patio lights have also become a favorite of brides looking to bring the outdoors in. These lights not only provide a romantic ambiance, but they also provide light during the night’s events.

In the Navy

While blush and cream are all the rage in wedding décor and dress, navy blue is also becoming increasingly popular among brides who want to make a statement. This shade not only gives an indoor space a more dramatic look, it is also a timeless color that will be beautiful to see in wedding pictures for years to come.
