Corinne + Joshua

Corinne and Joshua first met through a mutual friend on Facebook. They were both single parents, so they settled for late night conversations instead of face-to-face dates in the beginning of their relationship. But then, on July 19, 2020, the two both had a “free” night and decided it was time to meet. Because they were both tired at the end of the week (remember they’re parents), they picked up a bottle of wine and went through the drive-thru at Whataburger. Corinne said it was perfect because it was a very relaxed first date. The next night the two went out for a fancy date where Joshua asked Corinne if she would do something crazy with him? He asked her if she’d go to with him to his friend’s wedding in Michigan. He had all the qualities she was looking for and she decided to take the leap.

The two were inseparable after that first trip and spent time cultivating their relationship with each other and their respective children. Soon the two were talking about marriage. Joshua planned a trip for everyone to Oklahoma. He knew this would be the perfect opportunity to pop the question. He enlisted the help of Corinne’s oldest daughter Taelor and her mother to help pick out the ring and plan the proposal. When the couple and their kids were in Oklahoma, Joshua took them to quiet little stream where they skipped rocks and enjoyed the scenery. When the group was about to leave, Joshua got down on one knee and asked Corinne to marry him.

Corinne had always wanted a small wedding on her family’s land, so the two shared their vows on June 4, 2022, on the property in Moody, TX. The bride and her mother created many of the floral arrangements in the wedding, and the reception also included several family heirlooms.

While Corinne and her mother used their DIY skills in several aspects of the wedding, they did call on some vendors to help them create the perfect day. Corinne found her dream dress at Joann’s Bridal, the couple’s wedding cake was created by Cuppiecakes, and the big day was captured beautifully by Loved Memories Photography.
