Mariah + Daxton

Mariah and Daxton began dating in high school, and their relationship quickly proved to be more than just teenage love. After having a beautiful child together, it was at the gender reveal for their second child (a baby girl!) that Daxton decided to add an extra element of surprise to the day. At the end of the shower, Daxton announced that he had one more thing to “make the day more interesting.” He proceeded to get down on one knee and ask Mariah to be his wife. She, of course, said yes!

Mariah says Pinterest played a key role in the design of her wedding. Drawn to the rustic look, she decided to bring the country indoors with wood slices on each table, and a greenery backdrop behind the sweetheart table. Mariah did most of the planning and decorating herself, which she says made the wedding all the more sentimental and personal, having poured so much of her own energy and personality into the event.

The venue, Castle Heights Bijoux, was carefully chosen by the bride’s parents, and the couple certainly approved. Mariah says that she loved that the selected venue was both reasonably priced and beautiful, also providing the rentals for the reception.

Diana Mosely of Loved Memories Photography captured the occasion perfectly, right down to the brilliant sparkler exit!

Congratulations Mariah and Daxton!
