High school sweethearts Kelsey and Jake realized they were right for each other and began their love story during their senior year. Exploring the outdoors, trying out creative new recipes in the kitchen, and boating and fishing the Brazos River are just a few of the hobbies they have enjoyed together throughout the last 9 years. After nearly a decade of bonding and building a lasting relationship, Jake decided it was time to make it official.
Jake got down on one knee for Kelsey surrounded by surf, sand, and their family and friends. Being the only one left out of the big plans, Kelsey was certainly surprised—she cheerfully said yes, grateful to be surrounded by family and friends during this happy moment.
Of all the wedding planning in their near future, Kelsey is most excited about organizing the honeymoon destination and the bachelorette trip, due to her love of traveling. In the meantime, some planning has already begun—the two have already chosen to be wed at the same church as Kelsey’s parents and grandparents, adding a sweet piece of history to their love story.
Jake and Kelsey will be saying I Do at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West, Texas on August 6, 2022 with a reception following at KC Hall in West, Texas.
