McKenna + Chance

How They Met

McKenna and Chance's love story began in the bustling city of Dallas, Texas, where they met on a dating app. After weeks of texting and getting to know each other, Chance finally asked McKenna out on a date. Their first date was at the popular Katy Trail Ice House in Uptown Dallas, a location known for its vibrant atmosphere and scenic outdoor seating. Despite McKenna running late, Chance waited patiently outside the restaurant—a small gesture that spoke volumes about his character and their budding connection.

The Perfect Proposal

April 1, 2023, was a day that would forever be etched in McKenna’s memory—not because it was April Fool’s Day, but because it was the day Chance proposed. The Dallas Arboretum served as the perfect backdrop for this life-changing moment. Unbeknownst to McKenna, Chance had spent months planning the proposal with one of her close friends, ensuring every detail was just right.

The elaborate ruse involved McKenna’s friend, Katie, inviting her to the arboretum for a supposed work event. As they walked through the lush gardens, McKenna spotted Chance waiting in a secluded area off the trail. It was at that moment she realized what was about to happen. Chance got down on one knee, presenting McKenna with her dream ring, and as if scripted from a movie, their families emerged from a stone overlook to share in the joyous occasion.

Inspiration and Theme

When it came to planning her wedding, McKenna initially envisioned a pink-themed celebration. However, as she delved into Pinterest boards and wedding trends, she found herself drawn to the timeless elegance of blue and toile prints, which perfectly complemented her vision of a spring garden party. The theme was vibrant and full of life, with an abundance of flowers and colorful details that celebrated the season.

A Wedding Like No Other

McKenna and Chance were determined to make their wedding a true reflection of their personalities and love story. McKenna created a custom monogram that became a signature element throughout the wedding, from the Save the Dates and invitations to the decorations and drinkware. The couple spent countless weekends working on personalized details, from handmade signage and seating charts to program fans and table numbers, ensuring that every aspect of the day felt uniquely theirs.

The Perfect Venue and Vendors

The couple chose a venue close to McKenna’s hometown, which offered the perfect mix of convenience and charm. Its beautiful white backdrop provided a versatile canvas for their garden party theme, while the outdoor spaces offered picturesque settings for photos. This flexibility in location and design made it an ideal choice for accommodating all their guests and capturing the essence of their vision.

Choosing the right vendors was another crucial aspect of McKenna’s wedding planning journey. Among the many talented professionals they worked with, Madi Harper Photography stood out as a perfect fit, capturing the day’s special moments with artistry and heart.

McKenna and Chance’s wedding was not just a celebration of their love but also a testament to the power of thoughtful planning and personalization. Every detail, from the monogrammed invitations to the carefully curated décor, reflected their journey together and made their special day truly one-of-a-kind.
