Your wedding day should be a relaxing and enjoyable experience that is full of time with family. Creating a stress-free day for brides and grooms is what Jessie Hill, owner of Soiree Events, is all about.
“I really want to give every wedding one-on-one attention,” she said. “I want to be there early and for the whole day if I need to be so that if anything comes up, I’m able to help.”
Hill only takes one wedding a weekend, so she can devote all her time to that special event. She also makes sure that everything is ready to go before the day of the wedding so that setup can be quick, timely and calm.
She first gained experience creating large scale events while working for a family member’s business in Seattle. She helped put on events for big companies like Eddie Bauer which allowed her to have a crash course in event planning.
“After six years in Seattle and six years of working in floral here in Texas, I decided to go out on my own,” Hill said.
Soiree Events offers brides and grooms florals, rentals like tablecloths, linens, arches, and hand-crafted designs that can make a wedding
one-of-a-kind.
“I really want brides to tell me about themselves and show me some pictures of what they like,” she said. “I want to be able to come up with something that’s not just copied from a photo. I want to make sure everything is customized and very sentimental.”
She understands that creating a unique wedding, special to the couple, is important, and she wants brides to know that it is okay to let a skilled event designer lend their expertise.
“I want to make sure that [the couple] can enjoy their day, because if you’re doing it all, you can’t spend time with your family and friends,” she said. “I did my own wedding, and I was literally decorating until I threw on my dress and walked down the aisle. So, I just want them to know that it’s okay to accept help.”
