This Massachusetts couple first met in middle school where they struck up what would become a lifelong friendship. After keeping in touch for many years, Kelly and Craig’s friendship blossomed into a romance.
The couple has many shared passions, including their love of the HGTV show, Fixer Upper.
Although the couple had planned to visit the famous Magnolia Market together someday, some medical training in Austin gave Kelly the perfect excuse to visit the Silos on her own. What she didn’t know was that Craig was planning to surprise his girlfriend of three years with a proposal she’d never forget.
A month-and-a-half before Kelly’s trip Craig began reserving flights, coordinating with Kelly’s friends, and working with a local Waco photographer to capture the surprise.
“I was [at Magnolia Market] with my friend and she said, Kelly turn around. And there was Craig,” she said. “I immediately started crying, and not even three seconds later he was down on one knee.”
Kelly said she was so stunned that the world around her felt like it was standing still.
“I didn’t realize there was music playing and that everyone was cheering,” Kelly said.
Kelly and Craig are waiting until 2020 to tie the knot so they can enjoy their engagement and plan the perfect event to celebrate their love.
