The Relationship
Stuart and Kendal had seen each other in passing for two years while they both worked as nurses at Baylor Scott & White – Hillcrest, but they had no idea they were about to embark on a lifelong journey together. The two officially met in July of 2015, but it wasn’t until October of that year that Stuart finally got up the courage to ask Kendal out. They went on their first date on Halloween of that year and have been inseparable ever since.
The couple never had a defining moment where they knew they wanted to get married. They just knew they never wanted to live without each other.
The Proposal
Stuart and Kendal went on a family vacation with Stuart’s family to Red River, NM in December of 2016. While they were there the couple went for a moonlit walk to a park decorated for Christmas with hundreds of twinkle lights. When Stuart’s mom asked to take a picture of the couple, Stuart got down on one knee and proposed. He was so nervous, he held the ring out to his bride-to-be upside down.
The Wedding
Everything went perfectly for the couple’s fall nuptials. The wind blew fall leaves from the trees at Tenroc Ranch in Salado, and the creek babbled nearby. The couple describes it as peaceful and beautiful. They decorated the venue with copper and greenery and hints of dusty blue, and incorporated rose gold to match their wedding bands.
