Lacey + Isaac

Lacey and Isaac first met at the church they both attended. It wasn’t long before Isaac asked his future bride on a date. But their joy was somewhat short-lived because Isaac found out the day after their first date that he’d been accepted to a PhD program that would have him relocating to Utah.

While the two hadn’t been together long when Isaac left, the couple stayed in touch with weekly letters, daily phone calls and frequent Skype sessions. They also took turns visiting each other over the year they were apart.

When his schooling was complete, Isaac moved back to Texas and the two began talking about the future. One day, Isaac took Lacey hiking in Cameron Park and when they had crossed Jacob’s Ladder, Isaac pulled out a letter to his future bride. After saying “I love you” for the first time, Isaac got down on one knee and proposed to Lacey.

The bride and groom were married a few months later in an intimate ceremony that celebrated their faith and their excitement for the future. And after running through a tunnel of sparklers, the couple left their reception in Lacey’s late grandfather’s restored 1931 Ford Model A and headed to their honeymoon in Kauai, HI.
